Korean actor Lee Jun-hyuk of the Netflix drama “Love Scout” returned to the Philippines to meet his fans.

Lee Jun-hyuk held his “Let Me In” Fan Meeting in Manila on June 29 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater at Newport World Resorts.

This was his second time visiting the Philippines for an event.

“The first time I came here in Manila was before a year ago at AAA [2023 Asia Artist Awards] and now this is my second time and thank you so much for your warm greetings,” said Lee Jun-hyuk.

The actor arrived at night on June 28 and was not able to roam around but said the audience was the “most beautiful view.”

“I was not able to see beautiful sights last night but looking at you guys, I feel so much happy and I think this is the most beautiful view ever,” he said.

To welcome Lee Jun-hyuk to the country, he was given the Filipino dessert “halo-halo,” which is similar to the Korean bingsu or shaved ice dessert.

“Masarap (Delicious),” he said after tasting it.

Lee Jun-hyuk, 41, entered the entertainment industry by appearing in the 2007 “I’ll Wait” music video of Korean group Typhoon.

In 2007, he appeared in The Way Love Moves Us under the drama program “Drama City” followed by “First Wives Club.”

His dramas in recent years include “Dark Hole, Secret Royal Inspector & Joy, Our Beloved Summer, Vigilante, Dongjae, the Good or the Bastard and Love Scout.

Lee Jun-hyuk was also part of the box office hit film “The Firefighters,” which was released in South Korea last December. The film recorded 3.85 million in total admissions and grossed $26.57 million at the box office.

He also created the picture book “Hello Popcorn” to remember his dog which passed away. He gave copies of the book at the fan meeting.

“Actually, I never expected that I'll be, you know, advertising this book a lot of times. It's not me who's getting paid, but thank you so much still. I actually, after my Popcorn has passed away, to fill the emptiness in my heart, I started to write the book. But now at this point where many of you guys are reading the book and buying the book for me, I kind of can could feel that my heart was actually filled and also have a thought that Popcorn will be happy up in there in heaven,” he said.

“Love Scout” starred Lee Jun-hyuk and actress Han Ji-min about the romance between a CEO and a secretary.

He said his character, Yu Eun-ho, is similar to him in real life.

“You know, I get a lot of questions like this these days. So, I think, yeah, I'm actually pretty similar,” he said.

One of the memorable scenes in the drama was the kiss between Lee Jun-hyuk and Han Ji-min in the middle of Gwanghwamun Square, a tourist spot in Seoul.

You know, I was actually getting used to different kinds of kisses, but you have to prepare for another one. So on that day, on that shooting, we only had one chance because we have to control the area and there were a lot of people and we have to also control our emotions and harmony together. So we actually did give everything in that one scene but everything turned out very well. So I had a memory that we actually felt really happy after that scene,” he revealed.

In the “My Perfect LJH” segment, five lucky fans were chosen to reenact scenes in “Love Scout’ with Lee Jun-hyuk on stage. He also played games with fans including stacking mini chairs and bouncing ping pong balls.

Lee Jun-hyuk also read messages written by fans and had selfies with them.

He also performed the song “Like A Child” by Kim Dong Ryul.

A fan video for Lee Jun-hyuk was also shown at the fan meeting. .

“I guess it’s a really amazing and heartwarming video to actually receive from you guys,” he said.

Lee Jun-hyuk also went down to the audience area to be up close with his fans.

“Than you so much for your warm welcome. Please stay healthy and see you again. Mahal kita (I love you),” he said.
