3 deliverymen arrested for stealing their deliveries in Antipolo
Three deliverymen were caught red-handed stealing some of their deliveries while on their way to the variety stores of their customers in Antipolo City, Rizal early Friday morning, July 4.
According to the Antipolo City Police, the auditor of the delivery company where the suspects were employed, had been receiving complaints from their customers that the items being delivered to them were incomplete.
The stolen items recovered by the police from the three suspects.
This prompted the company's management to launch an investigation and follow the deliverymen as they delivered the merchandise.
During the investigation, the company staff witnessed the suspects park their delivery truck while conducting their delivery in Barangay Sta. Cruz, and unload some of the items marked for delivery.
The suspects stored the stolen products inside a house in the same barangay, prompting the company staff to request police assistance which led to their arrest.
Police recovered more than P15,000 worth of stolen items including packs of milk, juice, coffee, and seasonings.
The suspects denied their involvement in the crime.
They are currently detained at the Antipolo City Police Custodial Facility and are facing charges for qualified theft.
