ILOILO CITY — Various stakeholders in Western Visayas are pushing for stronger partnerships to push the growth of the small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) both for domestic and international markets,
“This represents our strongest commitment to transforming Western Visayas where every MSME has access to the tools, funding, and networks they need to thrive in the global marketplace,” said Department of Trade and Industry-6 Regional Director Rachel Nufable.
“We work in dynamic collaboration and synergy to revitalize industries, reinvigorate services, and promote trade and investment,” said Nufable at the Western Visayas Business Conference and Expo 2025 (WV-BIZCONEX 2025) in Iloilo City.
This was echoed by Atty. Jobert Peñaflorida, co-chairperson of the Regional Development Council-6.
“We will pursue and will further build on our strength. Our goal is that we prosper together,” said Peñaflorida.
The July 1 to 2 conference that coincided with MSME Development Week had strategic discussions, capacity-building sessions, and networking.
The highlight of the conference was the Unity in Leadership Forum with key government officials, business leaders, and MSME industry key players fromAklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, and Iloilo provinces as well the regional capital of Iloilo City.
The conference wrapped up with an awarding ceremony for the Bagwis Awards as well as outstanding MSMEs and outstanding development partners.
