Newborn baby girl found dead in Bacolod

BACOLOD CITY – The body of a seven- to eight-month-old newborn baby girl was found near a river in Purok Kaburihan, Barangay Estefania, this city, on Wednesday, July 2.
Police said a resident noticed and checked a plastic bag dumped in the area and discovered the infant.
Her umbilical cord was still attached and traces of fresh blood were visible.
Authorities placed the baby inside a box and brought her to a Church for blessing before she was buried in a public cemetery in Barangay Granada here.
Police are determining who left her in the area.
