New K-pop boy band AHOF (All-time Hall Of Famer) made their debut on July 1 with the mini-album “Who We Are.”

AHOF’s members are Steven, Chih En, Han, Jeongwoo, Woongki, Shuaibo, Daisuke, Juwon and JL, and all are managed by F&F Entertainment.  JL is Filipino idol JL Gaspar.

The members of AHOF, including JL, were chosen through the finale of “Universe League,” a survival audition TV program on channel SBS in South Korea last January.

In an interview with Manila Bulletin, AHOF members discussed their debut and their goals for their debut album.

For all of them, debuting in AHOF was a dream come true.

“It feels like a dream, and I am really nervous. But on the other hand, I am so excited about what is waiting for us!” said Steven, a Korean-Australian.

Jeongwoo said, “I am so grateful that I could be AHOF’s Jeongwoo. Please look forward to us!”

“I am so happy that I debuted as one of AHOF! I will do my best to show great performances!” said Woongki..

Shuaibo said, “I am really happy! I wish we could go forever” while Han declared, “I am happy and so excited that I can be on the stage.”

JL said, “I am happy that I could do everything with nine members, and so excited about what will be in the future.”

According ot Juwon, “I am so happy that I reached the debut with my great members and excitement is the biggest thing for me right now.”

Chih En said, “I am glad and happy with everything” and Daisuke said, “I am excited that I debuted as one of the members of AHOF.”

Since being chosen as members of AHOF, they had practiced hard for their debut.

“We concentrated more on teamwork and our skills. We want to show perfect and awesome performances,” said JL.

Their album “Who We Are” contains six tracks, including the main track “Rendezvous.”

AHOF’s debut album took first place for two consecutive days on July 1 and 2 based on Hanteo Chart’s daily physical album chart.

In two days, “Who We Are” sold a total of 258,305 copies, consisting of 71,276 copies on July 1 and 188,029 copies on July 2.

On Korea’s Bugs! music streaming chart, “Rendezvous” bagged fourth place in the daily song chart for July 1.

On YouTube, the music video for “Rendezvous” has garnered 6.5 million views as of this writing since it was released on July 1.

Woongki said through the album, they want to introduce AHOF.

“As the name of our album ‘Who We Are,’ we want to show to all the audiences who really AHOF is!” he said.

The members revealed what they want to achieve through their debut album.

Steven said, “I want our song to be on the list of our fan’s life playlist!”

“For my first debut album, I want to promote AHOF as much as we can so everyone in world knows us!” said Jeongwoo.

Woongki said, “I want to receive a rookie award.”

“I want many people to recognize us!” said Shuaibo.

Han said, “I want to achieve first place on the music chart!”

According to JL, “Success! I want all the listeners to relate and be healed by our songs.”

“I want to achieve many great things such as winning first place on the music show and receiving rookie award!” said Juwon.

Chih En said, “I have two which are winning first place on the music show and receiving rookie award.”

Daisuke said, “With this released song, winning first place on the music show!”

AHOF members are grateful for the support of their fans.

“Thank you and love you! I want to fly and go up with you!” said Steven.

Jeongwoo said, “Thanks for waiting for us for a long time! I miss you so much.”

“Guys! Please be with AHOF for long, long time! Love you,” said Woongki.

Shuaibo said, ‘I wish we could go forever! I love you.”

According to Han, “Please look forward to us!”

“Thanks always for being with us and looking for us. We will do our best to come up with the best results!” said JL.

Juwon said, “We worked super hard as you waited for us for a long time. As you showed great love, we will show and prove with great music and performances. Please look forward and love you all!”

Chih En said, “We will repay you with great things as you have waited for us for a long time.”

“We will show our growth each day and each performance, so please show lots of love and support,” said Daisuke.

On what kind of K-pop group they want AHOF to be, Steven said, “I want our group to mark the footsteps on the music show with greatest records and give positive influences on our fans just like the name ‘All-time Hall Of Famer.’”
