Face-to-face classes suspended in Manila starting noon on July 3
The Manila local government has ordered the suspension of face-to-face classes in public and private schools from Kindergarten to Senior High School (SHS) starting at 12 p.m. today, Thursday, July 3

The decision was made as a precautionary measure due to the inclement weather, prioritizing the health and safety of students, teachers, and school personnel.
Several other local government units (LGUs) in Metro Manila have also announced similar class suspensions
Local authorities continue to monitor conditions and are coordinating with relevant agencies for further updates.
Students, parents, and school staff are advised to stay tuned to official government channels for additional announcements or changes.
In line with this, the Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) has assured the public of its full preparedness for any possible impact caused by the habagat-induced rainfall.
'Nais po naming ipabatid sa publiko na handa ang ating tanggapan sa kung anuman ang possibleng epekto ng ulan na dala hanging habagat sa lungsod. Sinisigurado natin na lahat ng ating mga kagamitan ay nasa wastong kalagayan upang magamit ng ating mga kawani (We would like to inform the public that our office is fully prepared for any possible effects of the rains brought by the southwest monsoon in the city. We are making sure that all our equipment is in proper condition and ready to be used by our personnel),' the MDRRMO said in a statement.
