Ace of the region: Anvaya Cove named Southeast Asia's top golf course
Bataan-based golf and seaside community climbs to 15th spot in Asia's Top 100 Golf Courses ranking
Anvaya Cove Golf & Sports Club named Southeast Asia’s best, rises to No. 15 in Asia’s Top 100 Golf Courses ranking
The Philippines has consistently earned its place on the global stage, this time, in the world of golf. With courses that meet international standards in design and experience, the country continues to make its mark.
Anvaya Cove Golf & Sports Club is the latest to gain international attention. Its steady climb in the rankings reflects thoughtful design, environmental care, and guest experience that blends sport with leisure. In the 2025 Top 100 Golf Courses Asia list, it ranks 15th overall, the highest placement for any course in Southeast Asia.
The announcement was celebrated on June 27, 2025, at the clubhouse in Morong, Bataan, with a formal awarding led by Jung-Tae Kim, chairman of the Top 100 Golf Courses Asia Panel of Raters, who traveled to the Philippines to personally present the award to leaders from Ayala Land Premier and Anvaya Cove. In attendance were Joe Dagdagan, general manager of Ayala Land Premier Clubs; Raymond Bunquin, general manager of Anvaya Cove Golf & Sports Club; Kristine Grace Apale-Zaide, senior project development division manager for Premium Land & Houses of Ayala Land Inc.; and Joshua Zacarias de Jesus, project development division manager for the same group.

The annual Top 100 Golf Courses Asia ranking evaluates nearly 7,000 courses across the region, guided by criteria such as design quality, strategic challenge, variety, consistency, and land management. Rather than using a fixed scoring system, 72 panelists from 12 countries—including three from the Philippines—assess how well each course makes use of natural terrain and delivers a cohesive playing experience. In 2025, only three Philippine courses made the list, with Anvaya Cove leading the group, followed by others ranked 87th and 94th.
For Dagdagan, the recognition is a reflection of long-term planning and focus. “It inspires us to keep raising the bar to protect what makes Anvaya truly special and to lead by example in service, in sustainability, and in honoring the spirit of the game. This award is not a finish line. It is a milestone,” he said. “From here, we will move forward as a team—stronger, with pride, with passion, and with purpose.”
Kim Jung Tae, chairman of the panel, recounts how Top 100 Golf Courses Asia came to be
Anvaya Cove Golf & Sports Club has steadily built a reputation as one of the region’s top golf destinations. Over the years, it has earned numerous accolades, including Best Golf Club in the Philippines by Golf Digest (2022), the Philippines’ Best Golf Course by the World Golf Awards (2021), and the prestigious Order of Zenith from the Asia Pacific Golf Awards (2018), along with several other regional honors and professional recognitions.
A hole lot more than golf
More than just a golf course, Anvaya Cove is Ayala Land Premier’s first seaside leisure community, a 620-hectare development where families, nature, and recreation come together. Set between forested hills and the coastline of Morong, Bataan, it features a mix of mid-rise residences and land developments, with the 18-hole championship course spread across 82 hectares as part of a larger, family-focused lifestyle.

Game rooms, a library, and activity spaces for kids and teens create a well-rounded experience for all ages. Walking trails connect the entire community, encouraging outdoor living.
Dagdagan caps the event with a message of pride and purpose, calling the award a milestone in Anvaya’s ongoing commitment to excellence and sustainability.
Sustainability is a core value at Anvaya. The community is built to preserve the natural terrain and minimize environmental impact. The Club promotes green living among members and staff, protects local wildlife, and enforces energy conservation and responsible water use. It also runs effective recycling and waste reduction programs, practices eco-conscious purchasing, and supports local environmental education and livelihood projects. Broader environmental goals are continuously developed, guided by regular assessments of the club’s ecological impact.
These efforts earned Anvaya the title of Most Sustainable Championship Golf Course in Southeast Asia in 2025, reinforcing its identity as a community designed not just for leisure, but for long-term environmental care and family living.
