Pasay LGU celebrates Christmas in July; 1,000 kids get gifts

More than 1,000 children from different schools in the city received gifts as the local government, led by Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano, celebrated Christmas in July at the Pasay City Cuneta Astrodome on July 1.
Calixto-Rubiano said the event, sponsored by the Rotary Club Makati GEMS and Pasay Culture and Arts Council, is being held in the city every July to celebrate Christmas early for the benefit of the city's children.

Rubiano said that more than 1,000 children received early Christmas gifts.
“Dito sa ating tahanan sa Pasay, lahat ay binibigyang atensyon, pansin, at kalinga. At ngayon, sa Christmas in July, may we all be reminded of love. Pagmamahal sa kapwa, sa pamilya, sa buong lungsod. Dahil sa mga proyektong ganito, pati na rin sa ating Tapat at Higit sa Sapat na Paglilingkod, lahat ay posible. At lahat ay ating pagsisikapan para sa kasiyahan at kalagayan ng bawat kapamilya natin dito sa Lungsod Pasay,” Rubiano said. (Here in our home, all were given attention, care and support. She thanked Rep. Tony Calixto, UFG Makati GEMS President Teresita Robles, and Rotary Club officers for making Christmas in July in the city possible and for their continued support.
