Korean actress Lee Seo-yi, who appeared in the movie “Killing Romance” and the recent drama “The Divorce Insurance,” passed away on June 20. She was 43.
Her passing was belatedly announced by her manager on Instagram on July 1.
“This is Song Seo-bin, the manager of actress Lee Seo-yi. My brilliant, beautiful, pretty, and kind sister became a star in heaven on June 20, 2025, and I am leaving this message here,” the manager posted on Lee Seo-yi’s Instagram account.
The manager added, “I know you are all shocked and heartbroken by the news of her passing, but please pray for my sister to go to a good and beautiful place.”
Lee Seo-yi’s recent drama appearance was in “The Divorce Insurance,” which starred Lee Dong-wook, Lee Joo-bin, Lee Kwang-soo and Lee Da-hee.
She started her acting career in the Korean drama “Hur Jun, The Original Story” in 2013. She became known through the 2014 drama “Cheongdam-dong Scandal.”
Lee Seo-yi played the sister of the character of actor Gong Myung in the 2023 film “Killing Romance.”
Her other acting projects include “A Hundred Years Legacy,” “How To Live In This World,” “The King,” “The Royal Tailor” and “Scarlet Innocence.”
Lee Seo-yi was born on April 18, 1982 and studied at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and Pusan National University Graduate School.
