K-pop idol dies after battling leukemia

K-pop idol Jaehyun (real name Shim Jae-hyun), former member of boy band F.able, passed away on June 30. He was 23.
Korean media outlet MyDaily published an exclusive report stating that Jaehyun died on after battling leukemia.
Jaehyun’s health improved but suddenly deteriorated on June 30 and passed away.

Born in 2002, Jaehyun made his debut as a member of F.able. The group was launched in 2020 with the single “Burn It Up.”
They were active overseas, including holding a concert and fan meeting in Osaka, Japan in 2023, the report added.
Three members of the group debuted again in another group, Enphaze, which effectively disbanded F.able.
