Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) font-family: Gilroy; display: inline !important;>donated ₱300,000 to the City Government of Alaminos to support mangrove rehabilitation programs led by the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO). These two activities reaffirm its long-standing commitment to sustainability and community development through two corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives in Alaminos, Pangasinan.
Mangrove restoration has been a key focus for IPC since it first adopted a coastal area in Alaminos in 2005. These ecosystems serve as vital natural buffers against shoreline erosion, promote biodiversity, and help absorb carbon emissions, making them effective tools in mitigating the effects of climate change.
“At IPC, we believe our role extends beyond providing reliable products that sustain this nation’s institutions and businesses,” said IPC Executive Vice President Yasuhiko Oyama. “Restoring ecosystems like mangroves is just one of the ways we give back to the very communities that support us. It’s a reflection of our long-standing commitment to help the country grow—not just economically, but sustainably and equitably.”
In addition to its environmental initiative, IPC also supported the education sector by aiding Longos Elementary School, a public school serving students from economically disadvantaged and geographically isolated coastal communities in Alaminos. The school was selected as a CSR beneficiary due to its limited access to learning resources.
To help students prepare for the new school year, IPC distributed school supplies to 140 children, including backpacks, notebooks, and other essential learning materials. The company also donated two printers with ink refills to assist the school in producing classroom and administrative documents.
Alaminos City Mayor Arth Bryan Celeste welcomed IPC’s continued involvement in the city’s development efforts. “We are deeply grateful to Isuzu Philippines Corporation for being a part of our city’s story since 2005. Their latest initiative assures us that meaningful public-private partnerships can drive long-term progress,” said Celeste. “Their donations will go a long way in restoring our mangroves and empowering our students.”

These recent projects are part of IPC’s broader commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in the areas of climate action, quality education, and marine ecosystem preservation. The initiatives also reflect IPC’s corporate value of Responsibility to Society and Country.
By addressing both environmental and educational challenges, Isuzu Philippines continues to position itself as an advocate for inclusive growth and environmental stewardship. The company stated that the programs align with its corporate slogan, Your Responsible Partner.
