DigiPlus sets September launch in Brazil, tapping $4.6-billion gaming opportunity
Tanco-led online gaming firm DigiPlus Interactive Corporation is on track to launch its operations in Brazil this September - unlocking a gaming market twice the size of the Philippines.
“We are excited to bring world-class entertainment to new markets, bringing the strengths and expertise that we have established in the Philippines, said DigiPlus Chairman Eusebio Tanco.
He added that, “Our entry into Brazil is part of our strategic expansion program to usher DigiPlus' next phase of growth.”
With a population of over 200 million and internet penetration of nearly 90 percent, Brazil is one of Latin America’s fastest-growing gaming markets, with an estimated market size of $4.6 billion for iGaming, based on a report from LCA Economic Consulting.
DigiPlus said that, in line with its strategy of providing culturally resonant products, it will deliver a fresh line-up of livestreamed games, slots, table games, and exclusive self-developed digital entertainment content designed to thrill local players in Brazil.
All of this will be delivered through the company's world-class technology infrastructure, recently strengthened by its landmark migration to Amazon Web Services (AWS).
A dedicated local team with deep cultural and regulatory knowledge is already in place in Brazil, ensuring that DigiPlus Brazil delivers not just popular global games, but also high-quality local experiences and responsible gaming.
Last March, DigiPlus appointed industry specialist Graham Tidey as country manager for its Brazil operations.
DigiPlus' expansion comes at a time when Brazil has implemented a structured legal framework for iGaming.
In 2024, Brazil's government formally approved regulations for both online betting and gaming, providing clear guidelines for licensed operators, consumer protections, and fair taxation.
This opened the door for trusted international players like DigiPlus to enter the market legally, offering local players secure, properly regulated, and responsibly managed digital entertainment experiences.
