The Blazers scored a 102-64 blowout win over the San Beda Red Lions to climb to the No. 3 spot and remain in contention for the top seed against the Letran Knights (7-1) and Emilio Aguinaldo College Generals (6-1).
Winston Ynot buried a triple at the 8:48 mark of the fourth quarter to give Benilde its largest lead of the game at 94-54 — a commanding 40-point cushion over San Beda.
The Blazers caught fire from beyond the arc, drilling 15 triples on a red-hot 57-percent clip, with Ynot and Bonn Daja combining for seven of those long bombs.
Arellano also turned its matchup against JRU into a lopsided affair after listing an 82-60 win to clinch the fourth quaterfinal spot in the NCAA bracket with a 6–3 card.
The Chiefs clamped down on defense, registering 19 steals and capitalizing on the Heavy Bombers’ 25 turnovers.
King Vinoya, Charles Libang, and Jeadan Ongotan gave the Chiefs the offensive spark they needed to match their defensive dominance.
