A run among the greens: Sta. Lucia Fun Run 2025

Over 600 runners gathered on Sunday morning, June 15, and powered through the tracks for the second part of the Sta. Lucia Fun Run 2025, held at the Green Meadows East Residential Estate in Iloilo City.
The event opened with a lively warm-up session led by invited fitness enthusiasts and coaches to set things in motion. As runners laced up their shoes and assembled at the starting line, the race for the 10 kilometers category officially began at 5 a.m., followed by the 5 kilometers category, which had a gun start time of 5:25 a.m.
Aside from these categories, fur babies also came out to play and run under the 1-kilometer pet run category, one of the firsts in Iloilo City. Dogs of various breeds raced with their fur parents and embraced their paw powers to finish the tracks.

During the race, runners were able to witness the beauty of Green Meadows East, the second phase of Green Meadows, which is considered as the first lake community in Iloilo City. Along the routes, runners had to go through specific areas of the property which included its clubhouse.
Towards the end of the event, participants who crossed the finish line within the cut-off time were awarded with the inclusions and a finisher’s medal for those who successfully conquered the 10-kilometer route. Cash prizes were also given for the top three finishers in both categories. For the pet run category, the top three fur babies with the fastest time also got a share of the spotlight.
During the raffle portion, major prizes were given away to the winners, including a 55” Smart TV, a Samsung Galaxy tablet, a mini refrigerator, JBL bluetooth speaker, and other consolation prizes. After which, runners were invited to visit booths of food concessionaires, sponsors, and event partners, with some providing free sample products and testing.

To complete the experience, runners were also given free access to the property amenities including the swimming pool area and other facilities.
The Sta. Lucia Fun Run at Green Meadows East was organized by local sports organization Pabalhas, in partnership with Sta. Lucia’s exclusive marketing arm, Orchard Property Marketing Corporation. 
Food concessionaires who were present in the event were as follows: Mama Barista Coffee, Lemonita, Streetfood, RC Cola and Purrcraft Studio.

The running event is the second leg of the event which was first held in Silay City, Negros Occidental last February 2025 at another Sta. Lucia Lake property, which was the La Alegria Residential Estates.
With the aim of promoting wellness and healthy living, the Sta. Lucia Fun Run is one of Sta. Lucia’s many initiatives to engage its community and boost the integration of nature-inspired features to modern real estate properties which could potentially enhance one’s lifestyle.
Additionally, the event had also been an opportunity for families to enjoy great recreational time together especially as it coincided with the celebration of Father’s Day.
