Viva Artists Agency (VAA) isn’t playing around. The talent management firm has threatened to file charges against anyone spreading false and malicious claims about their artist, “Mutya ng Section E” star Ashtine Olviga.
In an official statement posted on Instagram, VAA said it’s ready to go full legal mode:
“Online libel is a serious crime and punishable by law. We as the management of Ashtine will take the necessary legal action for any statements, narratives, or allegations that might tarnish her reputation. We do not condone these acts, especially without any evidence. We will hold those accountable liable to the maximum extent possible under the law.”
The warning comes as fake news about Ashtine continues to circulate on social media—just as her star power skyrockets, thanks to the viral success of “Mutya ng Section E” on Viva One and TV5.
Ashtine’s fans welcomed the agency’s move, echoing their battle cry: “Protect Ashtine at all cost.”
In an interview, Ashtine herself kept things classy, urging netizens to think before they post:
“Let’s all be careful with our words. Everyone’s going through something, so the least we can do is make others feel a little lighter when they encounter us.”
