Top rookie pick Bella Belen vowed to bring in her championship experience as she banners Capital1 in the Premier Volleyball League.
Belen knew full well that professional play is different from the UAAP where she won three titles with the National University Lady Bulldogs.
But the young spiker puts on the table her wealth of experience and the killer instinct which the Solar Spikers need the most.
“I will do my best talaga. Siguro ang maipapangako ko lang sa Capital1, ipaglalaban ko sila gaya ng ginawa ko sa NU,” said Belen after being named Player of the Year for the third time in the Collegiate Press Corps Awards Night Monday night, June 30, at Discovery Suites in Pasig City.
Belen added that she’s the type of person who will always fight for what she stands for.
“Ganun akong tao. Once na mag-commit ako, kaya kong ipaglaban—parang relasyon lang ’yan,” Belen said with a playful grin.
“Ipaglalaban ko talaga yung team ko, as long as kaya ko,” she added.
However, the three-time UAAP MVP is still unsure when she’ll make her debut for Capital1 in the PVL.
“Hindi ko po talaga sure pa. Wala pa po kasing nababanggit sa amin kung kailan kami pwedeng makalaro sa PVL… pero sana, hopefully, kasi gusto ko na rin naman pong maglaro for the pros,” Belen said.
