Pasig City gov't provides aid, shelter to Barangay Manggahan fire victims
Dozens of families were relocated to an evacuation center after their homes were destroyed by a fire that hit Barangay Manggahan, Pasig City, on Monday night, June 30.

The city government said the affected families were brought to the Manggahan Barangay Hall Covered Court which serves as a temporary evacuation center.
“Agarang nag-set up ang pamahalaang barangay ng Manggahan ng evacuation center na ipinagamit nito sa mga nasunugan, sa pakikipagtulungan sa pamahalaang barangay ng Rosario, at katuwang ang City Social Welfare and Development Office ng Pamahalaang Lungsod para sa camp management (The officials of Barangay Manggahan immediately set up an evacuation center for use by the fire victims with the help of Barangay Rosario and the City Social Welfare and Development Office for camp management),” the city government said.
The city government also distributed sleeping kits and hygiene kits to the affected individuals.
According to the incident report by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the fire started at around 7:55 p.m. and was quickly raised to the second alarm at 8:07 p.m. The third alarm was raised at 8:23 p.m.
Firefighters declared fire out at 11:35 p.m.
One person was reportedly injured during the incident and is now in stable condition.
Arson investigators are still determining the cause of the fire and the amount of damage to property.
