FedEx teams up with Airspeed, IPX to simplify Philippine exports
Logistics giant Federal Express (FedEx) Corp. has expanded its export permit service to 41 new locations nationwide through a strategic partnership with Airspeed and International Parcel Express (IPX).
FedEx said its services are now available at 23 Airspeed outlets and 18 IPX outlets, bringing the total to 240 sites, including the existing 199 2GO outlets.
The US-based multinational company is keen on expanding access to its export permit service to make international shipping more accessible for Filipinos.
This will particularly be crucial for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and e-commerce sellers who are looking to enter the global market.
The 240 outlets nationwide are fully equipped to assist business owners with completing vital documentation and regulatory compliance to secure international export permits.
The permits cover a wide range of items, such as medicines, supplements, medical devices, fishery products, and even magnetic media storage devices.
It likewise covers repair and return items, as well as certificates of origin.
FedEx, which utilizes a global air-and-ground network for its logistics services, said streamlining access to export permits will foster the growth of the local export sector.
