Based on the report, Taguig police were patrolling the area when they met a woman running towards them in distress.
The woman told the police that she was threatened by a man who introduced himself as a policeman.
The Taguig police approached Hans and saw him wearing a black jacket bearing the Philippine National Police logo. When questioned, the suspect failed to present any valid PNP identification card.
The police officers suspected him of falsely claiming police authority and placed him under arrest.
During the arrest, the police recovered from him the black jacket, a mobile phone, two two-way radios, a bag, a .45-caliber pistol with one magazine and four pieces of live ammunition, and one sachet containing shabu weighing two grams valued at P13,600.
The seized drugs will be forwarded to the Southern Police District Forensic Unit for laboratory examination, while the firearm will be submitted for ballistic testing.
A complaint is being prepared against the suspect for filing before the Taguig City Prosecutor’s Office.
Brig. Randy Arceo, acting district director of the SPD, commended the immediate action of the operating team and issued a strong warning to individuals impersonating police officers.
