Baricuatro sworn in, taps Durano as provincial administrator

Cebu Gov. Pamela Baricuatro has appointed former Tourism Secretary Ace Durano as provincial administrator.
Durano and eight other officials were sworn in on Tuesday, July 1, as provincial government officials and vowed to deliver effective public service to the people of Cebu.
Other officials appointed by Baricuatro were Paulo Uy, chief of staff; Ruben Licera, Public Information Office head; Aldwin Empaces, assistant public administrator; Guillermo Y. Ceniza, provincial legal officer, Mikee Empaces, executive assistant; James Canoy,chief protocol; Resti Arnaiz, legal counsel, Office of the Governor; and Kevin Dinsay, legal counsel, Office of the Governor.
Baricuatro was inducted on June 30 and vowed to lead by example.
As your people's governor, I will not lead by fear; I will lead by example. I will never govern by favoritism; I will govern by fairness because this Capitol must no longer be a place of privilege. It must become a home for the people, said Baricuatro in her inaugural speech.
With sincerest gratitude and humility, I accept this mandate entrusted to me by over 1.1-million Cebuanos to serve as the governor of the province of Cebu, Baricuatro said.
Present during her induction were family members, friends, and supporters, outgoing Vice Gov. Junjun Davide, and Capitol department heads.
People from different walks of life greeted her at the front of the Capitol.
