Olaso, other Zamboanga City officials take oath

Zamboanga City Mayor-elect Khymer Olaso formally took his oath on Monday, June 30, along with Vice Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco, first district Rep. Katrina Chua, and second district Rep. Jerry Perez.

Olaso reiterated his campaign promises which centered on security, cleanliness, and education. “It’s time to pay back to Zamboanga City. Give the best to Zamboanga City,” he said.

He vowed to strengthen the local government’s partnership with the barangay and police and provide them with equipment and proper training.

Outgoing Mayor John Dalipe led flag-raising rites at the Zamboanga City Hall on Monday morning with city hall employees.

He thanked department heads and the local government employees for their support to his administration.

“Thank you for serving with me. Thank you for being the hands, the minds, and the hearts that made our many dreams and plans possible,” Dalipe said.
