Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno'' Domagoso has ordered city-wide flushing and street cleaning operations in key districts on Monday, June 30, following his recent declaration of a state of health emergency in the capital city.

Among the areas cleaned on Monday were Lagusnilad Underpass, United Nations Avenue, and Taft Avenue, where thick layers of dirt, trash residue, and foul odor have accumulated over time.
He called on all concerned units and barangay officials targeting heavily congested and flood-prone areas.
Teams were also deployed to Plaza Miranda in Quiapo and along A. Bonifacio Avenue at the Manila-Caloocan boundary.
Domagoso's declaration of a local health emergency over rising sanitation-related concerns, including disease outbreaks, garbage pileups, and blocked drainage, triggered the immediate mobilization of all available city resources.
