Korean film 'Parasite' No. 1 in New York Times' 100 best films of the 21st century

“Parasite,” the 2019 Korean film which won the Oscar best picture, ranked No. 1 in New York Times’ “The 100 Best Movies of the 21st Century” list.
The New York Times held a poll among more than 500 people in the movie industry, including directors and actors, to name the 100 best movies that were released since Jan. 1, 2000.
Directed by Bong Joon Ho, “Parasite” is No. 1 followed by “Mulholland Drive,” “There Will Be Blood,” “In the Mood For Love” and “Moonlight.”
“Parasite” starred Song Kang-ho, Choi Woo-shik, Lee Sun-kyun, Cho Yeo-jeong, Park So-dam, Jang Hye-jin, Park Myung-hoon, and Lee Jung-eun.
Korean director Park Chan-wook’s “Oldboy” ranked at No. 43 while Bong Joon Ho’s “Memories of Murder” is No. 99.
At the 2020 Academy Awards, Parasite won best picture, best director, best original screenplay and best international feature film.
For the film, Bong Joon Ho won the Palme d'Or at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival.
