House Speaker thanks newly-elected Leyte officials for support

TACLOBAN CITY – House Speaker Martin Romualdez on Sunday thanked newly elected mayors and other officials in the first district of Leyte for their support.

“We appreciate this and we shall not forget this support. In return, we will strive to do our very best to deliver even more services, deliver more programs and projects not just to the city of Tacloban but also to the rest of the municipalities within the first district,” Romualdez said during the oathtaking of newly-elected officials from Tacloban, Palo, Tanauan, Tolosa, Santa Fe, Alangalang, and Babatngon.
Romualdez lauded Tingog party-list, as well as Rep. Jude Acidre, who he tagged as “The Rock” of Tingog.
“We would like to make special mention to Tingog because you have done so much for the whole region and many parts of the country.”
