ZAMBOANGA CITY – A habal-habal driver, identified as a high-value drug target, was arrested during a coordinated anti-illegal drugs operation between the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-9 and the Zamboanga City police here on Sunday, June 29.
Suspect Nelson H. Lamon, 41, allegedly sold three kilos of shabu to undercover agents in Barangay Zone 4 at 12:15 a.m.
Recovered from Lamon was three ziplock bags weighing three kilos containing the contraband valued at P20.4 million.
Lamon is under the custody of the Zamboanga City Police Office Station 11 while the illegal drug was placed in the custody of the Special Operations Unit-9 for disposition.
The suspect is facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
