It is a family affair for the Ravenas.
The well-known sports family of basketball stars Kiefer Ravena, brother Thirdy and father Bong as well as volleyball player Dani, was introduced as the newest ambassador of the ArenaPlus during a simple and intimate signing ceremony Friday, June 27, in Bonifacio Global City.
With ArenaPlus one of the staunch supporters of sports in the country, Kiefer said it was really a no-brainer in agreeing with the partnership especially with the advocacy of the brand to promote responsible betting.
In fact, according to Kiefer, the hardest part of the negotiations was to find the schedule for all of them with Kiefer currently signed with the Yokohama B-Corsairs in the Japan B.League, Thirdy with the Dubai BC in Europe and Dani playing as the libero of the Akari Chargers in the PVL.
The Ravena family was welcomed by no less than ArenaPlus president Jasper Vicencio who graced the event.
“This is the first for us na as a family ito talaga yung pinakaunang family endorsement namin talaga kaya sobrang excited kami,” said Kiefer the eldest of the Ravena siblings. The partnership, according to Kiefer, would allow them to promote and instill the values of discipline of an athlete to the fans and become responsible user of sports interactive spaces like ArenaPlus.
“To share the values of course bilang atleta. Gusto naming maging interactive and ma-engage yung mga manonood ‘yung mga fans. And with ArenaPlus maibigay namin yung disiplina tsaka yung pagiging responsableng atleta sa mga tao at sa sports betting as well,” he added.
The Ravena patriarch, Bong, echoed the same sentiments as Kiefer.
“Ako excited lang ako na mapush yung responsible gaming na pino-promote ng ArenaPlus. So ako yung advocacy ko is to be responsible hindi lang as athletes ‘yung discipline but at the same time doon din sa responsible betting,” said the TNT assistant coach in the PBA.
