Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms are expected in most parts of the Philippines on Saturday, June 28, due to the effects of the southwest monsoon or habagat.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), in its weather forecast, said the southwest monsoon is currently affecting the Visayas, Mindanao, Central Luzon, Southern Luzon, and the western section of Northern Luzon.
Metro Manila, the Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan are expected to experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the habagat.
Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms are forecast in the Bicol Region, the rest of Mindanao, Ilocos Region, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, and MIMAROPA, also due to the southwest monsoon.
The rest of Luzon is expected to have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to, at times, heavy rains or severe thunderstorms.
