The official debut of Pedini’s Arkè collection presented a sculptural C-shaped island and body, curved lacquered cabinetry, and slatted wood detailing at Moda Interni’s Quezon City showroom on June 26, 2025.
“Over the past few months, we’ve heard from fellow architects and designers that more clients are asking about curved kitchens. It’s exciting to see this interest growing. It signals the beginning of a new design movement here in the Philippines,” shares Sison. “And at Moda Interni, we’re proud to lead this conversation with Pedini, one of the world’s best when it comes to curved kitchen design and now the leading brand for it in the country.”
Pedini is one of the first to produce modular kitchens and to pioneer the curved kitchen concept in 1957, which started with its iconic Francesca model. Since then, the company has been producing sophisticated luxury kitchens known for their craftsmanship and creativity, setting new trends for more than 50 years.
This curved kitchen model has a C-shaped island and body.
Pedini entered the Philippine market two years ago, catering to discerning homeowners, interior designers, and architects who value world-class design with local accessibility.
More than just rounded countertops, curved kitchens incorporate more organic aesthetics with flowing lines present in curved cabinetry, islands, countertops, or even architectural elements like arched doorways or window frames.
Curved kitchens are favored for maximizing space, ease of movement due to improved ergonomics, increased safety features, and aesthetic appeal for their modern and elegant look.
With its curvy appearance giving out visual interest and character, the curved islands or countertops can also become a striking focal point in the kitchen.
From decades of innovation and Italian design heritage, Pedini’s curved kitchens reimagined what the modern kitchen can be. “It’s about shaping spaces that reflect the way people live today, with elegance, efficiency, and emotion,” said Francesco Giuffrida, Pedini Brand Export manager.
“Our curved kitchens are made of high-quality materials with customizable designs that enhance lifestyle and property value. The curved design saves time, is aesthetically pleasing, and caters to modern Filipino family needs. The kitchens are fully customizable, incorporating various materials and equipment, and come with a 10-year water resistance warranty,” added Giuffrida.
“And since it comes in customizable modular pieces, homeowners or designers have the option to shape the center island into a C, S, or letter J, for the best outcome,” mentioned Sison. Notwithstanding the overall shape, the curved kitchen shapes can accommodate stoves, sinks, and accessories that can be arranged to suit the flow and style of the end users.
The curved kitchen island saves on space and fosters flowing movement with ease.
At the showroom, Giuffrida described the curved center island in detail. “The high-quality materials are lacquered with a metallic effect and ribbed design. The countertop has a porcelain-based material, a high-performing, non-staining synthetic stone. The table is designed to fit the radius of the counter top is made of wood and oak veneer with a custom stain.”
“As you can see, this is actually one of the best kitchens I've seen in the market today. The doors and walls share the same material and finish as the base boards, the same way the door knobs and handles are of the same material, too. Pedini's lacquering process is phenomenal; their stages of lacquering are double, as opposed to the market standard of five. These are just some of the design details that only Pedini can do,” said Sison.

He also shared that for Pedini to build and deliver a curved kitchen from Italy, the cost starts from P2 million and could go up depending on the custom design and materials.
