Widow shot dead in Cebu

CEBU CITY – A barangay secretary was gunned down inside her house in Dumanjug town, southern Cebu province.

Celsa Regidor Redondo, 62, was found dead in her room past midnight Friday, June 27.
The victim, a widow, sustained bullet wounds in the head and body, police said.
Initial investigation showed that two men broke into her house in Barangay Tubod-Dugoan and attacked her.
Her body was discovered and reported to the police at past 4 a.m.
Further investigation will be conducted to identify the assailants and determine the motive of the attack.
