SPD dismantles Las Pinas drug den, 5 arrested

The Southern Police District-Drug Enforcement Unit (SPD-DEU) dismantled a drug den and arrested five suspects, one of them an alleged government employee, during a buy-bust operation in Las Pinas City on Friday, June 27.
The suspects were identified as Busyong, 37, an alleged government employee and subject of a buy-bust operation; Benjamin, 61; Bernardino, 63; Michelle, 40; and Vivencio, 44. They were arrested in Barangay Pulanglupa Uno, Las Pinas City, around 4:30 a.m.

The police said the SPD-DEU coordinated with the Las Pinas Police Substation 2 for the arrest of Busyong after several complaints had been received about his illegal drug activities in their barangay.
The SPD confiscated from the arrested suspects 40 grams of shabu worth P272,000, cellular phones, a glass pipe, an aluminum foil strip, and a blue lighter.
The suspects were immediately detained at the SPD-DEU custodial facility and were charged with violation of Republic Act 9165  or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
