Incumbent Malabon City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval took her oath of office before Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo on Friday, June 27.
The oath-taking ceremony was held at the Supreme Court in Manila.

“Ngayong araw ay opisyal kong tinanggap ang mandato ng sambayanang Malabueño para sa aking ikalawang termino bilang Punong Lungsod ng Malabon (Today I officially accepted the mandate of the people of Malabon for my second term as Mayor of Malabon),” Sandoval said.

Present during the oath taking were First Gentleman Ricky Sandoval and her family.
“Isang malaking karangalan na muling pagkatiwalaan ninyo ako ng pagkakataong magsilbi (It is a great honor that you have once again entrusted me with the opportunity to serve),” she added.
Mayor Sandoval said that she aims to provide more services for residents.
“Hindi ito tagumpay ko lamang, kundi tagumpay nating lahat, mga Malabuéños. Higit sa lahat, ito ay panibagong simula ng mas maraming serbisyo, mas bukas na pamahalaan, at mas progresibong Malabon. Maraming salamat sa inyong tiwala at suporta (This is not just my victory, but the victory of all of us, Malabuéños. Above all, this is a new beginning of more services, a more open government, and a more progressive Malabon. Thank you very much for your trust and support),” she added.
Sandoval is the first female Chief Executive of Malabon City.
