The newly-elected Las Piñas City officials took their oath of office on Friday, June 27, with First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos attending the event.
The officials, led by Mayor-elect April Aguilar and Vice Mayor-elect Imelda Aguilar, took their oath of office before Las Pinas Regional Trial Court (RTC) Judge Mildred Ortega.
They were also joined by Congressman-elect Mark Santos and other city councilors.
In her inaugural speech, the mayor expressed her gratitude to the First Lady and said that her presence during the ceremony meant a lot to her and the Aguilar family.
She also vowed to her constituents that she will serve them with perseverance and sincerity, as well as lead the city with transparency, integrity, and compassion.
