Hygiene kits, flasks distributed to public school students in Makati
Makati City Mayor Abby Binay, together with other city government officials, attend the ceremonial distribution of the Hygiene and Better Health Kits and flasks at Makati High School on June 24.
The Makati City local government has distributed a total of 32,874 hygiene and better health kits and vacuum insulated flasks to its public school students to ensure their health and safety especially during the rainy season.
Makati City Mayor Abby Binay led the distribution of the kits and flasks on Tuesday, June 24, at the Makati High School.
Students from Kinder to Senior High School, including those in the Special Education (SPED) program, received their kits and flasks.
“These kits will help students maintain good hygiene and stay protected against common illnesses, lalo na ngayong pasukan at panahon ng tag-ulan (especially now that classes have opened and the rainy season has started),” Binay said.
Each kit contains a mosquito patch, two bars of soap, two towels, two toothbrushes, a toothpaste, a bottle of alcohol, hand sanitizer, cooling patch, povidone throat spray, and mini fan.
In addition to the kit, students also received a vacuum-insulated flask for water or juice to help them stay hydrated throughout the day.
“We want our students to stay healthy, safe, and ready to learn. These simple yet essential items can go a long way in helping our learners focus in school without worrying about their basic needs,” the mayor noted.
As part of Project FREE (Free Relevant and Excellent Education), these items aim to promote clean, safe, and supportive learning environments and ensure that every Makatizen learner remains healthy, protected, and ready to succeed in school.
