In a stunning turn of events, the latest episode of The Simpsons has sent shockwaves through the fan community with the unexpected death of the beloved matriarch, Marge Simpson.

Known for her iconic blue beehive and unwavering support for her family, Marge’s departure marks a significant moment in the show's history.

Viewers were stunned as they witnessed the emotional farewell to a character that has been a staple of the series for over three decades.

But is Marge really dead?

Entertainment Weekly, a popular entertainment site in the US, said yes and no. Its explanation:

'No. Marge isn't dead in any way that will impact the future of The Simpsons moving forward.

'As any longtime fan knows, the show's numerous flash-forward episodes exist more or less outside of The Simpsons' canon, depicting possible futures rather than official ones.

'Unlike, say, Maude Flanders' shocking demise, Marge's death in 'Estranger Things' occurred outside of the main timeline.

'So, while you won't see a (living) Maude in future episodes of The Simpsons, you absolutely will continue to see Marge,' the report said.

Fans can relax; Marge is not going to be removed from the story anytime soon. Her impact and importance will continue to be felt in the show for a long time.
