Police arrested a 41-year-old woman, tagged as a newly identified street-level drug suspect, in a buy-bust operation in Taguig on June 26.
The suspect was identified as alias Khaterine who was nabbed at about 12:05 a.m. during a police operation in Barangay New Lower Bicutan.
Operatives from the Taguig police’s Station Drug Enforcement Unit seized from her 15 plastic sachets containing 26.6 grams of shabu valued at P180,880, a marked P500 bill, P1,000 boodle money, and a purse.
The police will file a complaint for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) with the Taguig City Prosecutor’s Office against the suspect.
The recovered items will be turned over to the Southern Police District (SPD)) Forensic Unit for analysis.
Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo, the new SPD director, said: “Our operations are deliberate, lawful, and grounded in respect for human rights. We will not allow street-level drug peddlers to endanger our communities.”
