'KPop Demon Hunters' debuts at No. 2 on Netflix

“KPop Demon Hunters,” the American action-comedy animated film about a K-pop girl group acting as demon hunters to protect fans, debuted in the top 10 on Netflix’s weekly Global Top 10 of the most watched movies and shows on the streaming platform.
According to Netflix, “KPop Demon Hunters,” released on June 20, made its first entry in the top 10 English movies at No. 2 with 9.2 million views for the chart period June 16 to 22.
It placed in the top 10 movies in 80 countries and regions, including the Philippines, US, Canada, Brazil, South Korea, Thailand, Indonesia and France.
“KPop Demon Hunters” stars Arden Cho (voice of Rumi), Ji-young Yoo (voice of Zoey) and May Hong (voice of Mira), the members of the K-pop girl group HUNTR/X.
It also stars Ahn Hyo-seop, Yunjin Kim, Joel Kim Booster, Liza Koshy, Daniel Dae Kim, Ken Jeong and Lee Byung-hun. Lea Salonga is the singing voice of Celine, played by Yunjin Kim.
