City officials and industry leaders join the launch of a new modern hotpot destination at Santolan Town Plaza, offering a customizable, family-friendly dining experience.

A1 Family Shabu Shabu Santolan officially opened its doors with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 16, 2025, at Santolan Town Plaza in San Juan City. The event marked the arrival of a modern hotpot dining experience in the heart of the city, attended by industry leaders, special guests and members of the media.

The ribbon-cutting was led by San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora, alongside Christine Coqueiro, vice president for retail development at Rockwell Land Corp.; Jackson Go, president and CEO of the Vikings Group of Companies; and Jewell Go, managing director of Tong Yang Corporation. Their presence highlighted the significance of the newest addition to San Juan’s dynamic culinary scene.

Also in attendance were representatives from Rockwell Land, family and friends, and members of the media, including PhilStar Digital, The Philippine Star and Manila Bulletin.

Guests were treated to the signature A1 experience—an elevated and interactive approach to shabu shabu. Set in a tropical-inspired interior, the restaurant offers a luxurious yet laid-back atmosphere with a distinctly family-friendly charm.

Diners enjoyed individual hotpot sets that allowed for full customization, from ingredient selection to flavor preferences and cooking pace. Premium imported meats, fresh vegetables and house-made broths reflected A1’s commitment to quality and taste. A signature sauce bar invited guests to create their own dipping blends for a more personalized experience.

Glasses of wine were raised as A1 Family Shabu Shabu Santolan officially joined the city’s dining landscape, bringing a new standard of modern, flavorful, and memorable hotpot to San Juan.
