31 shooting incidents recorded in Zamboanga City

Police reported 31 shooting incidents in the first half of this year in Zamboanga City.
Police Lt. Col. Paul Andrew Cortez, Zamboanga City police assistant director for operations, said 12 cases have been solved, nine cleared, and 10 under investigation.
Several suspects have been identified and are the subject of manhunt operations.
The latest shooting incident involved a councilor of Barangay Calabasa.
Cortez said that they have intensified their campaign against loose firearms as one of the solutions to minimize if not eliminate the upsurge of shooting incidents.
