A Muntinlupa public elementary school teacher was named one of the winners of the 2025 Ten Outstanding Guro Awards (TOGA) organized by the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Manila.

The Muntinlupa City government congratulated Barredo for being chosen as a winner.
“Lubos ang aking pasasalamat sa pagkilalang ibinigay ninyo sa akin bilang isa sa Ten Outstanding Guro Awards (TOGA) 2025 (I am deeply grateful for the recognition you have given me as one of the Ten Outstanding Guro Awards (TOGA) 2025),” Barredo posted on Facebook.
She added, “Maraming salamat, JCI Manila, sa pagbibigay halaga na sa bawat araw namin bilang guro sa silid-aralan ay may saysay at bawat batang matututo ay tagumpay na dapat ipagdiwang (Thank you very much, JCI Manila, for appreciating that every day we spend as teachers in the classroom is meaningful and every child who learns is an achievement to be celebrated).”

Mabuhay ang gurong Pilipino! (This award is a reminder that we are not alone in the fight, and that there are people who truly see the value of what we do. Long live education! Long live the Filipino teacher!).”
