The city government of Las Piñas urged residents to practice the 4Ts - Taob, Taktak, Tuyo, Takip (turn upside down, shake, dry, and cover) as a preventive measure against dengue this rainy season.
Mayor-elect April Aguilar told residents to practice the 4Ts habit at 4:00 p.m. to eliminate mosquito breeding sites.
Aguilar said the participation of residents in practicing the 4Ts will help eliminate the mosquito dengue carrier and make the city free from dengue cases.
She explained the practice of 4Ts is a clean-up drive activity to eliminate stagnant water where mosquitoes breed.
She also advised residents not to forget the 4S habit - Search and destroy, Secure self-protection, Seek early consultation, and Support spraying in hot spot areas to prevent an outbreak.
Aguilar said that on the part of the city government, the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) also conducts clean-up drives and flushing operations around the city.
