The event attracted a number of Filipino celebrities that drew early arrivals.
Among them were actor-singer-pilot Ian Veneracion, whom many deem the ultimate “Crush Ng Bayan.”
Then there's singer-actress Arci Muñoz, who brought her trademark energy as seen in movies and TV.
They were joined by a dynamic ensemble including two of Viva's hottest stars Angeli Khang and Robb Guinto.
The program featured local Filipino-British dance troupes showcasing traditional folk dances, including T’boli tribal dances, Sinulog-inspired routines, and other regional cultural expressions.
Angeli and Robb energized audiences with games and impromptu sing-alongs, while Ian and Arci hosted a cooking demo of classic Pinoy dishes like adobo and pancit, mingling with festival-goers throughout.
There were booths that offered everything from Pinoy handicrafts to remittance services and tourism info—reflecting the rich tapestry of Filipino life abroad.
Arts and crafts zones with recycled-material challenges captured creative imaginations, while the angelic chorale and duet performances by local Filipino singers added musical beauty to the atmosphere.
As the sun dipped, the cultural heart of the event intensified.
There were models in Maria Clara attire, martial arts demos by the Black Squadron youth crew, and high-energy fitness and Zumba sessions pumped up the energy with pulsating beats.
The day culminated in a spectacular lineup of celebrity performances.
Ian wowed the crowd with stripped-down acoustic renditions of his solo singles, while Arci delivered powerful performances of popular rock hits.
Angela and Robb closed the evening with amusing banter and spirited dance-offs that had the audience dancing till dusk.
What made this fiesta stand out wasn’t just the star wattage—but its true heart: community.
Organized by the Philippine community network, the event featured stalls with hundreds of delectable Filipino treats, including halo-halo, lechon, lumpia, and more—while remittance booths and consulate information centers offered economic and cultural support.
The celebrations were also a heartfelt reinforcement of cultural roots.
Presentations of traditional songs, dance, games, and even community sports fostered a sense of unity and pride among Filipino immigrants and their British-Filipino children. As in other UK barrio fiestas, the Liverpool event celebrated heritage, identity, and belonging, bridging generations through shared experience.
