Septuagenarian arrested for rape

CAMP Marcelo Adduru, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan –Police arrested the fourth most wanted person in Region 2 or Cagayan Valley – a 73-year-old man – in Barangay Gutad, Floridablanca, Pampanga on Sunday, June 22.

The suspect, Renren, 73, faces a case for nine counts of qualified rape.

Renren, a resident of Maddela, Quirino, was arrested on a warrant dated April 28, 2025, issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 38, Maddela.

No bail was recommended for his temporary release.

Police Regional Office-2 chief Police Brig. Gen. Antonio Marallag Jr. lauded operating units for arresting the suspect.

Marallag emphasized the vital role of community cooperation in the fight against crime.
