P2-M reward offered vs mayor's gunman, mastermind

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – The provincial government of Cagayan has offered a P2-million reward for individuals who would give information leading to the identification of the gunman and mastermind in the gun slaying of Rizal, Cagayan Mayor Joel Ruma on April 23.
Ruma was conducting a campaign rally in Barangay Illuru Sur, Rizal when he was shot.

Gov. Manuel Mamba said the reward would help solve the case and bring justice to Ruma’s family.
Mamba assured protection for the informant.
He also assured justice for other victims of political killings in Cagayan – Chairman Bernardo Gacuan of Barangay Centro Dos, Enrile town, and Jayson Cacal, an empowerment officer in the local government unit of Santo Niño.
