'Nagkasubukan': Cops respond to 911 call in 2 minutes, arrest 3 armed men in Makati

Makati City policemen proved that the quick response on calls for assistance is doable after they arrested three armed men less than the five-minute response being implemented by the Philippine National Police (PNP).
Police Maj. Gen. Anthony A. Aberin, director of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), said that it was a bank employee who sought police assistance after noticing three men trying to enter her residence in Barangay La Paz, Makati City at around 8 p.m. on June 20.
Aberin said the bank employee dialed 911 and lo and behold, a team of policemen arrived not five or three minutes but within two minutes.
“Responding officers arrived within two minutes and, after verifying the report, located the suspects at a nearby eatery. When police approached, police found one of them with visible firearms,” said Aberin.
Seized from the suspects were three.45 pistols, three loaded magazines containing a total of 23 live rounds and two black sling bags.
Aberin said the confiscated firearms were properly marked and documented for evidentiary purposes.
“This incident underscores the importance of rapid police response in neutralizing threats before they escalate,” said Aberin, as he lauded the Makati City policemen. 
He said the suspects are currently under police custody and will be charged for violation of Violation of Art. 283 of RPC (Light Threats) and RA. 10591 (also known as the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) pending inquest proceedings before the Makati City Prosecutor’s Office.
PNP chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III earlier vowed to institutionalize the five-minute response of the police via 911 in response to President Marcos’ directive to ensure police visibility.
