MPower to power more Gokongwei companies in Luzon
MPower and the Gokongwei Group signed a renewed retail electricity supply contract for its major facilities with the Meralco franchise area. The retail electricity supply unit of Manila Electric Company (Meralco), MPower, has expanded its partnership with the Gokongwei Group, securing renewed contracts to power most of the latter’s major facilities in Luzon.
In a statement on Monday, June 23, the Meralco unit said the renewed agreement, which builds on a collaboration that began in 2013, will see MPower supply electricity to an expanded list of Gokongwei Group companies.
These include flagship conglomerate JG Summit companies such as Robinsons Land Corp., Cebu Pacific, Universal Robina Corp., JG Summit Olefins Corp., and RL Commercial REIT, Inc.
Additionally, Robinsons Supermarket Corp., under Robinsons Retail Holdings, Inc., is now also covered by the deal.
The partnership ensures a continued, reliable, competitive, and sustainable power supply for these crucial operations.
