The Malabon City government will offer free rides on Tuesday, June 24, in response to the scheduled “Bawas Pasada” transport strike, aiming to assist commuters who may be affected by limited public transportation.
The initiative was announced by the Public Safety and Traffic Management Office (PSTMO) on Monday, June 23, in coordination with the General Services Department (GSD), Malabon Command and Tactical Unit (MCAT), Malabon Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), and several barangays.
Available vehicles may include buses, vans, all-purpose vehicles (APVs), tow trucks, and other service vehicles.
The local government clarified that free rides will only be deployed in areas where public transport services are unavailable, or if the situation demands.
Residents are advised to check the official Facebook page of PSTMO for route updates and further announcements.
