Chua gives terse reaction to VP Duterte's constant traveling

Chua, a House prosecutor in Vice President Duterte's impeachment trial, held a press conference Monday, June 23 wherein he was asked to comment on the latter's foreign trips.
The lady official recently flew to Australia for the purpose of joining a rally calling for the freedom of her detained father, former president Rodrigo Duterte. Just last week, Vice President Duterte returned from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia wherein she rubbed elbows with the overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).
Happy trip, Chua said in a terse response.
The Vice President has also been a frequent visitor to The Netherlands as her father is being detained there, specifically by the International Criminal Court (ICC).
The United Nations (UN)-backed ICC is trying the elder Duterte for crimes against humanity in connection with his bloody war on drugs, which 30,000 people allegedly perished.
The Vice President's constant travellng has been taking place amid Chua and the rest of the House prosecution team's anticipation of her Senate impeachment trial.
Chua chaired the House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability, which for months investigated in aid of legislation the Vice President's alleged misuse of P612.5 million worth of confidential funds.
This supposed misuse of public funds was cited in the seven articles of impeachment that was submitted to the Senate by the House of Representatives last Feb 5.
