Marallag keeps PRO-2 post

CAMP MARCELO A. ADDURU, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – Police Brig. Gen. Antonio P. Marallag Jr. remains Police Regional Office-2 after the turnover of command ceremony on Saturday, June 21, was cancelled by the Philippine National Police (PNP) national headquarters.
Marallag was set to turn over his position to Police Brig. Gen. Jerry Protacio.
Preparations for the event have been in place and PRO-2 personnel, stakeholders, and guests were ready to witness the ceremonial turnover when the announcement was made.
Marallag, who officially assumed the post on Sept. 24, 2024, shall continue to lead the PRO-2.
The arrival honors for Police Major Gen. Ronnie Francis Cariaga, commander of the Area Police Command-Northern Luzon who was supposed to lead the ceremony, was still held.
