'Superman' director James Gunn: 'Filipino fans are the best'

Some Filipino fans were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the director and stars of the new DC film Superman, recently.
David Corenswet (Clark Kent) and Rachel Brosnahan (Lois Lane), together with writer and director James Gunn and DC Studios' co-chief Peter Safran, >font-family: Gilroy; display: inline !important;>were all here for a promotional tour.

Some of them wore Superman shirts while others donned a red cape.
Showing their love for the well-known Superhero, several fans attempted to create a replica of Superman's emblem with Gunn and the cast as witnesses.
Later that evening, they headed out to the Mall of Asia for a scheduled fan meet.
Not surprisingly, the venue was filled with screaming fans.
Fireworks erupted outside the venue to commemorate the event.
As they walked down the red carpet, Gunn admitted he didn't expect to be met by such a huge crowd.
I didn't expect it, but I just want to mention because the Filipino fans are the best. I talk to these guys all the time online, he said, adding, The (Philippines) is such a beautiful country.
Safran chimed in, saying, We are so impressed and grateful to all the DC and Superman fans in the Philippines. To those who attended today’s events dressed in Superman costumes, we love you! That’s precisely why we chose Manila as the first stop of our world tour.
At the event, James, David, and Rachel were taught how to make lumpia.
''I kicked everyone's ass, Rachel said while smiling.
She was the best at making lumpia. I was the worst, Gunn admitted.
Meanwhile, Corenswet admitted the experience was overwhelming for him.
I mean, it's been a whirlwind. It's been amazing. It's beautiful. The energy is great. Yeah, I certainly wasn't expecting this, he said.
