Muntinlupa City Council recognizes outstanding athletes

The Muntinlupa City Council approved a resolution recognizing outstanding athletes who won honors in different competitions.
The resolution was tackled during the Muntinlupa City Council’s 151st Regular Session held on June 16.
The Muntinlupa City government earlier congratulated the athletes for bringing honor to the city.
The measure recognized the following athletes:
- Liezel Kaye Carabot of Barangay Putatan - National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Season 100 Best Libero and captain of the Jose Rizal University (JRU) Girls Volleyball Team
- Pi Durden Wangkay of De La Salle Santiago Zobel School - Palarong Pambansa 2025 track event gold medalist
- Erica Mae De Luna of De La Salle Santiago Zobel School - Palarong Pambansa 2025 Secondary Girls Basketball 5v5 Mythical 5 gold medalist
- Alessandra Maria Ysabel Pineda of De La Salle Santiago Zobel School - Palarong Pambansa 2025 overall team champion, Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (Clusters 1, 2 and 3) gold team and Elementary Team bronze medalist
- Cyrilen Perion of Muntinlupa National High School - Palarong Pambansa 2025 Full Contact Arnis Featherweight Division bronze medalist
- Bayanan Elementary School-Main Baseball Team - Palarong Pambansa 2025 champion
- Via Mendoza of Tunasan National High School - Palarong Pambansa 2025 8-Ball gold medalist and 9-Ball bronze medalist
